Description

REDHOLT MANOR:

Redholt Manor, the home of the Redholt family, was built nearly one thousand years ago. Sitting in a flat plain near some mountains, Redholt Manor is settled in a peaceful and charming location just a few hours walk from the nearest town. It features a moat, four towers, and a large parade ground behind the great hall used for parties, gatherings, and training.

Half a millenia ago, the Redholt family was locked in a deadly struggled against the Blackcliff clan. They prevailed and nearly destroyed the family, killing all but the youngest son, his wife, and two young boys. During the absence of their rivals, the Redholts thrived and became a prosperous family, spreading far and wide across the kingdom.

But then disaster struck. Lord Garen Redholt died, and of his five sons, two of them wanted the throne. The younger son, angry and violent, hired several dozen mercenaries and killed three of this brothers and their families as well as his grandmother and cousins. The surviving brother, Garret, confronted the traitorous brother and killed him. Using his wit and inheritance, Garret rebuilt the Redholt family with his own wife, son and daughter, and uncle.

Now the Redholt family is revered across the realm as brave, noble people, fierce in battle, but kind in hearts. They have a high reputation and even have a representative in court. But as the struggles with the Blackcliffs gets tenser, the Redholt family might be in peril.

Here is the second work of my project; to draw the four major houses of the kingdom, each with qualities like those of the Hogwarts Houses. I hope you enjoyed the background information and the drawing. Please favorite/comment!! :D

This looks good as well! You have a knack for drawing little things (like the windows) consistently, which is something I have trouble with. It might not sound so special to be able to draw the windows the same and in a sensible pattern, but believe me, it's essential.

Also, your background, though sort of rough, looks very natural. By which I mean the forests and the mountains look like they would naturally be that way in real life. Once again, it may not be something you were really striving for, but it's a good thing to be able to pull off. My own backgrounds need work.

The only thing nagging me about this is the roots of the trees in the foreground, but I have the same problem, so don't take it personally. Trees are hard. Try looking at a tree or a reference picture to see how the roots appear in real life. Then try to portray that in your drawings.

Keep up the good work! :D
